East Dawning: A Masterpiece of MYP Design Limited

An Award-Winning Sales Center Design Inspired by Oriental Woodwork

The design of East Dawning is deeply rooted in the oriental culture's affinity for wood. This material, which has been used in various forms of architecture from temples to houses, symbolizes nature and time. MYP Design Limited has used wood to create a space that is not only clean and serene but also vibrant. The aim was to create an elegant atmosphere that would allow visitors to feel as if they were watching clouds pass by.

What sets East Dawning apart from other designs is its unique interior construction concept. The design begins with a streamlined wall that seems to float in space. This is achieved through various techniques such as turning and stretching. The wall is adorned with an array of acrylic sticks, which extend the visual perception of the space. A deep bronze device, structured geometrically like a truss, adds another layer of spatial meaning. The design also features staggered braided stairs that bring changes to the facade, much like abstract latitude and longitude lines.

The design was realized using wood, stone, and special glass. Covering an area of 1000 square meters, the sales center is a perfect blend of simplicity and sophistication. The design team, led by Horizon Ma as the Creative Director and Plan as the Designer, has done an exceptional job in bringing this concept to life.

One of the most interesting features of East Dawning is the interactive device set up in the sales office. This device, made up of thousands of white acrylic bars on the wall, allows visitors to form patterns by swinging the bars, creating an interactive experience. This innovative feature is a testament to MYP Design Limited's commitment to creating designs that are not only visually appealing but also engaging.

The design of East Dawning was completed in December 2016 in Chengdu, China. The project was guided by the principles of green, ecological, and future-oriented design. The aim was to create a design that is low in energy consumption, high in energy efficiency, and minimizes the use of non-renewable resources. This approach reflects MYP Design Limited's commitment to sustainable design practices.
